Privacy policy
This policy describes how MoistureCost handles information today and how advertising disclosures will work if ads are enabled in a future release. Personalized advertising is not active while ads remain disabled.
Calculator inputs (current)
Calculator inputs are processed in your browser for local estimation. We do not send calculator inputs to analytics in the current release. We do not collect ZIP codes.
Hosting logs
The site is hosted on Vercel. Standard server logs may include IP addresses, user-agent strings, and request metadata as part of normal hosting and security operations.
Advertising status
Ad slots exist in the codebase but remain disabled until an AdSense (or equivalent) account is approved and environment flags are turned on. No AdSense script loads while advertising is disabled.
If advertising is enabled later
Third parties such as Google may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, and similar identifiers to show and measure ads—including personalized advertising where permitted. We will update this policy before enabling personalized ads and provide links to Google’s disclosures about how it uses data (including https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites).
Where required (including EEA, UK, and Switzerland), we will use a Google-certified consent management platform integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework before loading personalized advertising. You will be able to change consent preferences through that interface.
You may also use industry opt-out tools such as https://optout.aboutads.info/ and Google Ads Settings at https://adssettings.google.com/ where available.
Children
MoistureCost is intended for adults researching home maintenance costs. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
